Job summary

Murrin Murrin Operations, part of Glencore Australia, is seeking a Mechanical Fitter for our WA process plant. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across a demanding nickel and cobalt operation, handling sizer screens, thickeners, agitators and pumps while adhering to strict safety permits.

The ideal candidate holds an Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade and a current manual Australian Driver’s Licence, with experience in pumps, valves, and HPAL autoclaves being a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification is Essential.
• Current and valid manual Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Experience with sizer screens, thickener tanks, agitators and pumps.
• Experience with actuated and manual valves.
• HPAL Autoclave experience is desirable.
• Demonstrated compliance with work area permit systems.

Responsibilities

• Undertake planned and reactive breakdown maintenance across the process plant.
• Work with sizer screens, mills, thickener tanks, agitators and pumps.
• Ensure compliance with permit systems and reinforce safety standards.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to improve reliability and root-cause analysis.

The Role

Successful candidates will be responsible for undertaking planned & reactive breakdown maintenance work across various areas of the process plant. Ideally you will have experienced sizer screens, mills, thickener tanks & related agitators, and various pumps. Experience with HPAL Autoclaves is highly desirable for this role.

About You

This role would suit a driven Mechanical Fitter with previous experience working in a similar process plant environment who is looking for job security and career opportunities. You will also have:

• An Australian Recognized Mechanical Trade Qualification (Essential)
• A current and valid manual Australian Driver’s Licence
• Proven experience with, sizer screens, thickener tanks & related agitators, displacement pump, sump pumps & Warman pumps.
• Experience with actuated and manual valve.
• Previous HPAL Autoclave experience is desirable.
• Experience working with and demonstrated compliance with work area permit systems.
• Strong communication skills & excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving abilities.
