Job summary

Symmetry Human Resources Group is assisting a major recycling facility in Laverton North, Australia, with an ongoing casual sorting role. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm, at a casual rate of AU$37.06 per hour. An on-site meet and greet is required before starting.

Responsibilities include manually sorting recyclable materials on production lines, placing items in the correct areas, and occasional forklift operation (approx. 5%).

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and reliable, able to stand for long periods.
• Excellent verbal communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work as part of a busy production team and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manually sorting recyclable materials as they come off production lines.
• Separating materials and placing them into designated areas.
• Performing regular manual handling and repetitive tasks.
• Operating a forklift when required (about 5% of the role).
• Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe.
• Following workplace health and safety procedures.
