Job summary

Latrobe City Council in Morwell, Victoria is seeking a Recruitment Officer to coordinate end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and related workforce initiatives. Join a supportive HR team delivering services to the community in a flexible, hybrid work environment.

This permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week) offers a Band 5 salary of $80,810.26 per year plus superannuation and a minimum of three days per week in the office.

  • Ability to build trusted relationships and partner with managers and stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities across allocated portfolios.
  • Provide recruitment guidance to Hiring Managers to support successful outcomes.
  • Deliver a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the journey.
  • Maintain recruitment data, reporting and documentation to support informed workforce decisions.
  • Contribute to recruitment process improvements and service enhancements.
  • Support attraction, engagement and workforce initiatives, including employer branding activities.

We're looking for a Recruitment Officer to join our Human Resources Team. What You'll Be Doing
  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities across allocated portfolios.

You are a proactive and customer-focused recruitment professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and delivering exceptional service. You bring strong organisational skills, sound judgement and a passion for connecting people with meaningful career opportunities. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working with leaders and stakeholders to achieve positive recruitment outcomes.

Key Selection Criteria
  • Experience coordinating recruitment and onboarding activities within a busy and customer-focused environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and effectively partner with managers and stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in recruitment, human resources or a related field, with the ability to interpret and apply recruitment policies, procedures and legislation.
