Job summary

FastLabour Hire in Brisbane is expanding its Labour Hire Recruitment team. You will focus on sourcing and filling construction roles across Queensland, building strong relationships with site managers and contractors, and delivering for our client base.

This role combines on-site business development with candidate relationship management, offering a warm desk, immediate pipelines, growth opportunities, and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Proven business development or sales track record with targets.
• Solid knowledge of the construction industry and site operations.
• Confident on site and on the phone; strong negotiation skills.
• Understanding of OHS/WHS, SWMS, HRW licences and site safety.
• Experience with recruitment or labour hire is valued; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Nurture and grow your warm desk with a pool of quality candidates.
• Identify and target new Queensland construction clients.
• Run structured outbound calls and on-site BD visits weekly.
• Build and manage your client pipeline.
• Log activity in HubSpot to move the pipeline.
• Understand clients’ businesses, culture, and upcoming projects.
• Maintain client accounts per the tiering structure.
• Source, screen, interview and place workers to client requirements.
• Plan and schedule workforce requirements weekly.

Therole

As an integral member of our Labour Hire Recruitment team based in our Brisbane office, you will focus on sourcing and filling exciting positions within the Queensland construction sector. Your recruitment expertise will enable you to build strong connections and deliver exceptional solutions to our diverse client base. You will also focus on cultivating relationships with candidates to ensure our staff excel.

Business development is a core part of this role. You’ll be out on site, building relationships with builders and contractors and bringing new clients on board, then delivering for them with the quality workers already on your desk.

Keyresponsibilities

Nurture, maintain and grow your warm desk, backed by an established pool of high-quality candidates

Identifying and targeting new construction clients across Queensland

Running structured outbound calls and on-site BD visits every week

Building and managing your own client pipeline

Logging activity in HubSpot to keep your pipeline moving

Getting to know your clients’ businesses, culture, and active and upcoming projects

Keeping clients updated and managing accounts against our client tiering structure

Sourcing, screening, interviewing and placing workers to client requirements

Planning and scheduling workforce requirements weekly

About you

Proven business development or sales experience, with a track record of winning new clients and hitting targets

Solid knowledge of the construction industry, whether from working on the tools, in site management, trade sales, or supplying the sector

Confidence on site and on the phone, and comfort negotiating commercial terms

An understanding of OHS/WHS, SWMS, HRW licences and site safety

Recruitment or labour hire experience (highly regarded, but we’ll teach the right person)

Experience with HubSpot, Alloc8 or CanYou (a bonus; training provided)

Self-motivated, well organised and able to work with minimal supervision
