Job summary

RSL LifeCare in Australia seeks a Recreation & Engagement Coordinator to lead person-centred activity programs in our aged care homes in Tura Beach, NSW. Work within a supportive team to enrich residents' daily lives through meaningful leisure and social activities.

Responsibilities include tailoring activities, conducting life-history assessments for care plans, coordinating outings, and upholding safety and accreditation standards to support our veterans and seniors with compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Cert IV in Leisure and Health and/ or relevant tertiary degree.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Ability to assess residents' psychological, social, and emotional needs to identify barriers to participation in lifestyle activities.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families/representatives.
• Demonstrated understanding of Aged Care and associated accreditation requirements.
• Australian Working Rights.

• Ensure residents receive appropriate assessments including their life history that will form part of their integrated care plan
• Ensure programs are developed to enrich the lives of individuals and their families through leisure, lifestyle, learning & spiritual activities
• Coordinating outings that allow residents to stay in communication and have meaningful relationships within their chosen community in a safe and healthy way

About you:

• Cert IV in Leisure and Health and/ or relevant tertiary degree

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
