Job summary

Richmind WA in Karratha is seeking a Recovery Support Worker to provide practical and emotional support to adults experiencing mental distress, helping them build independence and work toward recovery goals in a safe, welcoming residential service.

You will build respectful relationships, support recovery plans, assist with daily living skills, and collaborate with families, carers, clinical services and community partners to create meaningful change.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health or community services.
• Ability to build respectful relationships with diverse individuals.
• Commitment to recovery-oriented care and trauma-informed approach.

Responsibilities

• Build genuine, respectful relationships with people using the service.
• Support individuals to implement their recovery plans and goals.
• Assist with daily living skills (cooking, budgeting, transport, community engagement).
• Provide emotional support during distress and maintain a safe environment.
• Facilitate meaningful activities and social connections.
• Collaborate with families, carers, clinical services and community partners.
• Maintain accurate documentation and case notes.
