Job summary

Norwest Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Post Anaesthesia Recovery Unit (PARU). The role offers work-life balance, professional growth, and a supportive team environment, with a Monday to Friday AM/PM schedule.

You will provide holistic, evidence-based nursing care to post-surgery patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and smooth handovers within a high-acuity setting. Training in Recovery is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Registration – Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 2 years’ acute care nursing experience (training in Recovery nursing can be provided).
• Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Postgraduate certificate in Recovery (or working towards).
• Paediatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based, patient-centred care in a fast-paced Recovery unit.
• Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.
• Maintain patient safety and high standards of care throughout recovery.
