Job summary

  • Location – Silverwater (Ground Floor of the Silverwater Correctional Complex)
  • Employment type – Temporary up to 12 months with possibility extension
  • Salary – $78,000 pa - $84,799 pa plus employers’ contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role

Looking to kick-start your career in the NSW Government?

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Records Management Officer to join our team and play an important role in supporting the management of information across DCJ. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, reliable, and eager to build valuable skills in records management, administration, customer service, and information systems.

Working in a dynamic records and warehouse environment, you’ll help ensure important information is secure, accurate, and accessible, supporting both internal teams and the community we serve. You’ll gain hands‑on experience, work alongside supportive colleagues, and contribute to meaningful outcomes across the organisation.

What you’ll do
  • Maintain, retrieve, and track physical and digital records in accordance with DCJ standards and legislative requirements.
  • Accurately update databases and record movements to ensure information remains reliable and up to date.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support as a first point of contact for enquiries.
  • Coordinate multiple tasks and competing priorities while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Undertake physical duties safely, including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and moving files within office and warehouse environments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by supporting efficient and effective records management practices.
