• The Receptionist 1 is responsible for performing clerical tasks within an office setting to support daily operations. The duties include answering and transferring phone calls to employees, assisting customers pre-sale, during the auction and post sales auctions. The Receptionist will provide a wide variety of support to the customers.

• Operate a high-volume telephone switchboard receiving customer enquiries and assist customers with their ability to use all of Ritchie Bros services.
• Ability to explain how bidding and unreserved auctions work.
• Support customers during the auction registration process for online bidding.
• Resolve issues and track interactions relating to customer accounts.
• Provide information related to past and upcoming auctions and equipment.
• Assist with post sale accounts receivable phone calls and payment processing.
• Ensure that superior customer service is always delivered to all customers.
• Provide additional administrative support as needed.
• Perform duties as assigned.
• Previous work experience where you worked in-person with customers
• Experience using computers, and able to learn to use new technology and software
