Job summary

Pickles Auctions in Sydney is seeking a friendly, reliable front-desk professional for a permanent full-time role. You will be the welcoming face of the branch, assist buyers and customers in person, by phone and by email, and help keep the office running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers Monday–Friday hours, 8am–5pm, with a strong focus on administration, data entry, and providing accurate, timely support to internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy reception, administration or customer service role where no two days looked quite the same
• A warm, confident style and a genuine knack for making people feel looked after
• Clear communication and ability to connect with all kinds of people
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to work autonomously without close supervision

Responsibilities

• Be the friendly face of the branch – Welcome customers and buyers in person, over the phone and by email on a daily basis with a high level of customer service, making every interaction a great one
• Keep all the plates spinning – Coordinate couriers, manage mail, tackle data entry and make sure the office has everything it needs
• Bring order to Administration – Complete administrative duties associated with the auction process (including processing purchase orders and invoices) with a high level of accuracy meeting agreed timeframes
• Turn questions into answers – Give buyers and vendors timely, accurate support and help sort out problems without the fuss
• Jump in and back your crew – Support internal departments to meet their objectives and administration requirements

ABOUT THE ROLE
