Job summary

City Coast Physio is seeking a Full Time Receptionist to join as Practice Manager, based at the Somerset College Fitness Centre. The role is a Monday to Friday 8am-5pm position, starting from Monday 14th September, with interviews beginning 7th September.

You will handle face-to-face client interactions and daily business tasks in a busy physiotherapy practice. The ideal candidate will have prior receptionist experience within medical or allied health, and an interest in sport and exercise.

Qualifications

• Previous receptionist experience within Medical or Allied Health industry is preferred but not essential.
• An interest in sport and exercise is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and reliably in day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Face-to-face communication with patients, students, and Fitness Centre clientele.
• Taking bookings and handling patient enquiries; providing information for Physiotherapy and Fitness Centre.
• Call patients for appointment reminders and schedule follow-ups.
• Billing and receipting – HICAPS, EPC, DVA, Workcover, Insurance.
• Assist physiotherapist with clients as required; respond to emails.

It would suit a great communicator who is reliable and accurate in the day-to-day operations of daily business tasks and can work independently. Experience in a similar role would be preferred.

Duties include:

• Face to face communication with patients, students, and Fitness Centre clientele


• Taking bookings, handling patient enquiries, and providing information for both Physiotherapy and Fitness Centre facilities


• Calling patients for appointment reminders as required and scheduling follow up appointments.


• Billing and receipting- HICAPS, EPC, DVA, Workcover, Insurance


• Assisting physiotherapist with clients as required


• Managing and responding to email enquiries


• Typing reports and letters

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous receptionist experience within Medical or Allied Health Industry, preferred but not essential.


• An interest in sport and exercise is preferred


• A current Blue Card and CPR/First Aid certificate or are willing to obtain upon/prior to employment.
