Mercy Health is seeking a friendly Receptionist for Mercy Place Cairns. You will be the first point of contact for residents, families and staff, delivering courteous reception and essential administrative support in a healthcare setting.

The role includes rostering staff, maintaining records, and providing timely support to managers. You should have healthcare-administration experience, strong MS Office skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in healthcare or aged care.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High level of interpersonal, organisational & verbal/written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail; ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality around client data records.

Being the first point of contact for residents, families and staff, you will be responsible for providing courteous reception and administrative support, including rostering of the staff at the facility * Facilitate communication with residents and / or their families and staff in relation to office administration requirements.* Responsible and accountable for the day-to-day activities of the office ensuring administrative, clerical and reception services are provided to the residents, visitors and staff.* Provide timely and effective support to managers.* Efficient and effective maintenance of document and data storage. **What you’ll bring**You’re reliable, resilient and have a whole lot of heart.
