Job summary

Westbury Partners in Sydney is seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer to contribute to real-time options trading platforms. You will work across modern frontends and backends to deliver robust, low-latency software used by traders to price, manage, and execute strategies.

You will collaborate with traders and quantitative researchers, design APIs and event-driven services, and push performance, scalability, and usability of mission-critical applications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building complex applications.
• Proficient in TypeScript and React.
• Experience designing scalable backend services using C++ or Python.
• Experience with distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
• Strong API design, asynchronous and event-driven architectures.
• Experience building real-time, high-performance applications.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build high-performance, real-time options pricing and trading workflows.
• Develop full-stack solutions across modern frontends, backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Create intuitive interfaces for real-time trading decisions.
• Design scalable services for pricing, data, workflow orchestration, and trading operations.
• Prototype ideas and turn concepts into production-ready systems.
• Collaborate with traders, researchers, sales and business leaders.
• Refine applications for performance, scalability, and usability.
