Job summary

ACEREZ is seeking a Real Time Operations Engineer Trainee to join the 24/7 operations team in NSW, Australia. The role focuses on monitoring, controlling, and coordinating the transmission network during the trainee period, with a clear pathway to full-time shift work upon successful competency and authorization.

Qualifications

• Clear and concise communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of transmission system security, HV apparatus, protection & control, operating procedures, and application of safety rules.
• Basic understanding of power system modelling.
• Willingness to undertake shift work on a 24/7 roster after authorization.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SCADA and EMS to ensure system security, stability, and reliability.
• Coordinate outages and switching with stakeholders.
• Manage emergency response and incidents.
• Log incidents and status accurately for handovers.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures and tests of OT systems.
• Direct maintenance contractors to ensure safe works.
