Job summary

Spectrum Community Health CIC in Wakefield is seeking a Healthcare Support Worker Apprentice for Wakefield Sexual Health. The role is Band 2, progressing to Band 3 on completing training requirements, supervised by a clinician with some admin duties.

You will support clinical care, chaperone, obtain samples, assist with contraception and STI management, and help with stock control across services. NHS Pension and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience of SystmOne is advantageous; training will be provided.

Healthcare Support Worker Apprentice - Wakefield Sexual Health | Spectrum Community Health CIC

This is an apprentice role band 2. Band 3 on completion of training requirements.

The post holder will provide support and clinical care to the service users and staff within Wakefield Integrated Sexual Health team under the supervision of a clinician. The post holder will also provide some administrative and clerical support as required.

Experience of SystmOne is advantageous however will training will be provided.

Support the delivery of clinical care in the Sexual Health Service. The role will include chaperoning, obtaining samples and assisting medical and nursing staff in the provision of contraception and the management of sexually transmitted infections.

Maintain stock levels and stock control within the unit.
