Job summary
Serco Limited is seeking a part-time Swimming Coordinator at The Weald Sport Centre in Cranbrook to lead a team of Swimming Teachers and grow the community lessons programme. You’ll ensure high-quality delivery, engage with schools and partners, and monitor performance to improve customer experience and service levels.
The role focuses on developing sessions, managing staffing, and promoting swimming offerings while delivering excellent service to participants and families in a vibrant community
Qualifications
- Swim England Level 2 or STA Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification
- Experience managing or supervising teams within a leisure or aquatics environment
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build trust with customers
- Experience delivering or managing swimming lesson programmes and working with high customer volumes
- Confidence using IT systems and producing reports, alongside good communication and organisational skills
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop a team of qualified Swimming Teachers, including recruitment, rotas, performance and development
- Coordinate and grow the swimming lessons programme, introducing new sessions and courses to meet community needs
- Ensure high-quality delivery of lessons that encourage retention and repeat participation
- Build strong relationships with customers, schools and local partners to support outreach and programme growth
- Monitor performance through reporting and KPIs, using insight to improve customer experience and business performance
- Support operational delivery, including stepping in to teach lessons where required to maintain service levels
- Support with the marketing and promotion of the Swimming Lesson programme
