Job summary

Active Stirling is seeking a Sports Attendant for a multi-facility role at Stirling Sports Village. You will provide safe swimming pool supervision, set up equipment for activities, and support events across the facility.

As part of the team, you will supervise poolside areas, assist with lessons and sessions, and ensure a positive customer experience. A Lifeguard qualification is essential; other qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Must hold National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
• Experience of working with the public.
• Experience of working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise poolside and village changing areas ensuring a positive and safe experience for all services.
• Prepare all areas for use per booking notes so customers can access and enjoy offerings at the Sports Village.

Job Description

Are you a true team player displaying a positive attitude?

This is a multi-task role to allow a consistent approach to ensure that excellent customer service is delivered at all times throughout the facility. The post holder will be required to undertake a variety of tasks which will be in addition to the core role of providing safe and effective swimming pool supervision alongside setting up and maintaining equipment for activities and events. Primary duties are lifeguarding and setting up equipment across Stirling Sports Village. Multi Facility/desirable additional qualifications/experience may play a minor part to support the wider team only.

Please note, a pool lifeguard qualification is essential to progress to the interview stage. Applicants must be available for interview on Friday 02 October 2026.

Requirements

Essential:

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification essential.
• Previous experience working with members of the public.
• Experience of working in a team environment.

Desirable:

• SVQ level 2 gym instructor qualification
• Coaching qualification
• Swimming teachers' qualification
• Working in an ice environment.
• Working in reception environment.
• Cash handling.
• Operating MRM or another booking system.
• Previous experience in a lifeguard/leisure role.

Responsibilities

Supervise poolside and village changing areas ensuring that eachcustomer has a positive and safe experience of all services including swimmingsessions, club sessions, swimming lessons and national events. Prepare all internal and external areas of the Sports Village foruse in the appropriate manner as per set up booking notes, in order thatcustomers use the facility correctly and can take full advantage of all onoffer at the Sports Village.
