Vp plc’s Torrent Trackside unit seeks a Mobile Fitter to cover the Perth area, ideal for a small plant fitter or mechanic with experience in maintenance, electrical systems, and battery powered tools for rail infrastructure equipment.

Role requires time-served fitter or mechanic status and a current UK driving license, with full-time hours on site in Perth. The package includes extensive benefits and opportunities for development.

• Experience in maintenance/repair of small plant, electrical systems, and battery powered tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, service, repair of company and customer assets at customer premises.
• Work on your own and as part of a team at customer premises ensuring that the equipment is maintained to manufacturer specifications at all times.
• Complete company paperwork and ensure safe working practices are observed and followed at all times.
• Ensure van stock is kept to required level by ordering service and repair parts as needed.

An excellent opportunity has come up within our Torrent Trackside business for a Mobile Fitter to cover the Perth area. This opportunity would suit a small plant fitter or mechanic who has experience in small plant maintenance, electrical systems, battery powered tools and agricultural or construction industry plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, service, repair of company and customer assets at customer premises.
• Work on your own and as part of a team at customer premises ensuringthat the equipment is maintained to manufacturer specificationsat all times.
• Complete company paperwork and ensure safe working practices are observed and followed at all times.
• Ensure van stock is kept to required level by ordering service and repair parts as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Time served Qualified Plant Fitter or Mechanic
• Full UK Driving license
• Working knowledge of the maintenance and repair of:
• Small plant engines such as petrol 2 stroke, 4 stroke and diesels
• 12 vault electrical systems
• Battery powered tools
• Able to plan own workload and manage time effectively

The successful candidate will be expected to pass a Drug and Alcohol Railway standard medical and undergo PTS safety qualification training. All of this will be arranged for you.
