Job summary

Rapier Employment are recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to support a client based near Didcot. The role requires holding a C+E licence for at least 6 months and is paid hourly with overtime after 45 hours.

Shifts start between 13:00 and 16:00, and weekend availability is essential as the site operates 24/7. Responsibilities include trunking with a Class 1 vehicle, pre-trip and post-trip inspections, accurate delivery records, and coordination with the transportation team.

Qualifications

• Held C+E licence for 6 months minimum.
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• Strong knowledge of road safety and excellent driving skills
• Available to work weekdays and weekends
• Full UK licence, valid CPC card and digital tacho card

• Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle for trunking operations, adhering to company policies
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and report any issues
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details

** This is a great opportunity for someone who has held their C+E licence for 6 months **

Role: Class 1 Driver

Pay: £17.85 to £19.52 per hour - overtime after 45 hours

Hours: Starts between 13:00 - 16:00

Days: Site operate 24/7 so must be available to work weekends
