Job summary

Valley Pack in Victoria, Australia seeks an experienced Reach Stacker Operator for high-volume loading and stacking. You will load/unload containers, stack within the yard, and move equipment safely around the site. Training is provided if needed, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Key tasks include yard checks, reporting container issues, and coordinating with transport-export managers to maintain smooth operations. This role runs Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Experience with reach stacker is preferred but training provided.
• Strong focus on safety, teamwork and efficiency.
• Ability to work autonomously with high attention to detail.
• Willing to get hands dirty and step outside comfort zone.

Job description

A well established transport business is currently seeking an experienced Reach Stacker Operatorwith high volume stacking & loading experience.

You will be responsible for:

• Safely loading and unloading containers from trailers
• Stacking containers within the yard
• Safe movement of the Reach Stacker within the yard
• Moving loaded containers away and placing empties down in a timely manner for the loading crew
• Identifying and reporting all visible issues with containers
• Daily yard checks – keeping track of container movements and placements
• Managing yard flow – ensuring efficiency and organization
• Working with the Transport and Export Managers to ensure smooth operations

What You Need to Succeed:

• A passion for heavy machinery and efficient depot operations
• Previous experience on a reach stacker and is preferred but not required – we’ll provide training for the right person
• A strong focus on safety, teamwork, and efficiency
• A commitment to safety standards
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously
• Someone willing to get their hands dirty, step outside of their comfort zone and give it a crack!

Monday to Friday full time with seasonal Saturdays/Sundays.
