Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in Sydney is seeking a Analyst in Rates Trading to support front-office traders with model building, pricing, and data analysis. You will engage in pre-trade analysis, risk management, and the design of trading strategies on a busy trading floor.

The role requires a strong mathematical background, 1+ year market experience, and programming with Python. You will collaborate across teams to implement sophisticated payoff structures and ensure accurate post-trade processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, Economics or similar.
• Minimum 1 year of experience analyzing or trading in financial markets.
• Basic knowledge of Python or any other programming language.
• High aptitude for mathematics and a strong appreciation for quantitative problem-solving.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to problem solve in group and independently.
• Ability to discuss in detail your understanding of fundamental and technical aspects of product(s) traded and support area functions of respective products.

• Assist with the post trade process by ensuring the accuracy of all entries and to ensure internal controls are followed
