Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a structuring professional for the Rates Trading Front Office in Sydney. You will help traders build models, develop pricing, and perform data analysis to support risk management and strategy execution.

You will work closely with traders and analytics teams to implement complex payoff structures, analyze market drivers, and ensure accuracy across the post-trade process. A strong quantitative background and Python knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, Economics or similar.
• Minimum 1 year of experience analyzing or trading in financial markets.
• Basic knowledge of Python or any other programming language.
• High aptitude for mathematics and a strong appreciation for quantitative problem-solving.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to problem solve in group and independently.
• Ability to discuss in detail your understanding of fundamental and technical aspects of products traded and support area functions.
• Well versed in the quantitative nature and framework of each product (e.g., pricing, models).
• Ability to discuss knowledge of direct costs of doing business along the transaction lifecycle.
• Ability to thrive under competitive pressures and focus on client needs.
• Ability to communicate concepts clearly to different audiences.
