Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Sydney seeks a structuring role within the Rates Trading Front Office. You will assist traders to build models, pricing and data analysis, and learn derivative contracts in depth.

The role focuses on pre-trade analysis, risk and liquidity management, and supporting the trading desk across model development, backtesting and strategy execution. Strong mathematical skills and Python knowledge are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, Economics or similar.
• Minimum 1 year of experience analyzing or trading in financial markets.
• Basic knowledge of Python or any other programming language.
• High aptitude for mathematics and a strong appreciation for quantitative problem-solving.
• High attention to detail
• Ability to problem solve in group and independently
• Ability to discuss in detail your understanding of fundamental and technical aspects of product(s) traded and support area functions of respective products
• Well versed in the quantitative nature and framework of each product (e.g., pricing, models, etc).
• Ability to discuss in detail your knowledge of the direct costs of "doing business" along the transaction lifecycle
• Ability to thrive on the challenge of competitive pressures and remain focused on client needs
• Ability to communicate concepts and ideas, both verbally and via documentation, and be able to defend their validity and target messages to different audiences.

• Assist with the post trade process by ensuring the accuracy of all entries and to ensure internal controls are followed
