Diverse outdoor work across parks, reserves and coastlinesHelp protect natural and cultural values every dayBuild skills in conservation, asset and visitor managementAbout the roleAs a Ranger, you'll play a key role in managing and protecting Parks Victoria's parks and reserves while helping create outstanding experiences for visitors.Working as part of a high-performing team, you'll contribute to a diverse range of on-ground projects and services including conservation programs, pest plant and animal control, visitor facility maintenance, asset management, community engagement, education programs and working with Traditional Owners to protect cultural heritage values.No two days are the same. You could be maintaining visitor infrastructure, supporting environmental programs, engaging with park visitors, working alongside volunteers or assisting with the delivery of important land management projects. You'll also have opportunities to contribute to emergency response and recovery operations and support Victoria's fire management activities as part of Forest Fire Management Victoria.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on outdoor work, values teamwork and is passionate about caring for Victoria's special places.About the TeamThe Southwest Victoria team is passionate about protecting and enhancing some of Victoria's most treasured parks, coastlines and natural landscapes.We are a supportive, collaborative and dedicated team that takes pride in delivering high-quality outcomes for visitors, communities and the environment.
