NRM Cape Le Grand National Park is seeking a Ranger to support operations across the park and Esperance District, delivering conservation programs, maintaining facilities, and guiding visitors.

The successful applicant will need a WWCC and National Police Check, and be prepared to work outdoors in remote areas across national parks.

Formación

• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or the ability to obtain one.
• Current National Police Check or the ability to obtain one.

• Assist with fire, feral animal, weed and interpretative programs.
• Collect park fees and participate in promotional activities.
• Implement works programs in line with departmental guidelines and management plans.

Descripción del empleo

The most spectacular coastal scenery is found in the south-west corner of Cape Le Grand National Park where massive granite and gneiss peaks rise from the coastal plain. The park's rolling heathlands are home to pygmy possums, western grey kangaroos and a diversity of colourful wildflowers including dense thickets of showy banksia.

We currently have an opportunity for a Ranger to join our team.

Under the immediate direction of the Senior Ranger Cape Le Grand, this position:

• Carries out programmed operational activities and field logistical support in Cape Le Grand National Park and other national parks and reserves in the Esperance District as required; including maintenance and servicing of facilities, visitor control, and the delivery of conservation programs as directed.
• Assists with fire, feral animal, weed and interpretative programs.
• Collects park fees and participates in other promotional activities for the national parks.
• Implements works programs consistent with departmental guidelines, policies and management plans.

The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current Working With Children Check and a current and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
