Job description

Osborne Richardson is assisting the City of Moreton Bay in its search for two experienced Rangers to join its Local Laws team on a contract basis — frontline compliance professionals who can lead investigations and get results through education as much as enforcement.

You’ll investigate breaches of State and local laws across one of Queensland’s fastest-growing cities, covering everything from animal management and abandoned vehicles to illegal camping, signage, overgrown land and the use of beaches, parks and foreshores.

This role suits someone who enjoys working with the community. You’ll build positive relationships with residents and businesses, use sound judgement and discretion in sensitive situations, and see matters through from first enquiry to brief of evidence.

  • Impound abandoned vehicles, stray animals (including cats, dogs and livestock), unlawful advertising devices and goods on Council land
  • Assist with the delivery of compliance programs, including cat and dog registration programs
