Job summary

Reserve Bank of Australia in Sydney seeks a specialist Raised Floor Planner / Data Centre Infrastructure Management Specialist for a 12-month fixed term, based in Bella Vista with travel to other RBA locations. The role ensures efficient floor space, data integrity and strategic DCIM planning in a high‑security environment.

Ideal candidates will have extensive enterprise DCIM experience, Cormant expertise, and knowledge of copper and fibre cabling; NV approval is highly regarded to support

Qualifications

• Qualified Raised Floor Planner/Data Centre Installation Engineer with extensive experience in enterprise-scale Data Centres.
• Experience with Cormant or another enterprise-grade DCIM planning tool.
• Experience in design and implementation of structured copper & fibre cabling.
• NV approval is required or highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed planning proposals for equipment installation or de-installation in the Controlled Environments, coordinating works with Workplace Team.
• Support effective utilisation of floor space and capacity.
• Provide Controlled Environment reporting.
• Maintain the accuracy of data in the DCIM tool (Cormant).
• Conduct book-to-floor and floor-to-book audits.

About the business/role/team

This specialist Raised Floor Planner / Data Centre Infrastructure Management Specialist contract role based in Bella Vista will offer the convenience of living and working close to home. Travel will be required to other RBA locations. This role is a 12-month fixed term contract. We operate in a culture of collaboration and open communication. Top Level Responsibilities.

• Provide detailed planning proposal for equipment installation or de-installation in the Controlled Environments. This includes identification and coordination of works required by Workplace Team.
• Support the effective utilisation of floor space & capacity.
• Provide Controlled Environment reporting.
• Maintain the accuracy of the data contained in the Cormant DCIM tool.
• Conduct book to floor and floor to book audits.

Scopeof Accountability.

• Responsible for alignment of IT equipment architectural plans with the sites.
• Maintain the accuracy of data within the DCIM tool.

Communication/Negotiation.

• Engaged as a professional who advises others and collaborates with team members to articulate, compare, and implement solutions and alternative approaches based upon project management principles. Team members might include customer, supplier, and other staff.
• Negotiates effectively with team members to understand the team's goals, work content, and schedules.
• Clearly communicates results to immediate management / project manager.
• Establishes and maintains clear mechanisms to communicate project status and change with the project team and other staff.
• Must bebe able to effectively communicate resource needs and project issues with management / project management.

Problem Solving.

• Recognises and articulates problems related to the project / segment of the project.
• Applies creativity and judgment in development of solutions or deliverable objectives.
• As appropriate, challenges the validity of given procedures and processes with a view toward enhancement or improvement.

Qualifications.

• Qualified Raised Floor Planner/Data Centre Installation Engineer with extensive experience in working within Enterprise scale Data Centres.
• Experience with Cormant, or another Enterprise Grade industry recognised DCIM planning tool.
• Experience in design and implementationof structured Copper & Fibre cabling.
• NVapproval required.
