Job summary

REDPATH MINING is offering an entry-level position in Orange City Council, providing a great opportunity to start a long-term career underground. The role includes comprehensive hands-on training in drill rig maintenance and rod handling.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic. This position features a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster, allowing for flexibility while providing the chance for progression into a Senior Driller position.

Qualifications

• Must be based in or around Orange.
• Minimum 3 months’ experience in a labour-intensive role.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medicals and drug & alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

This entry level position is your chance to start a long term career underground with Redpath.

We’re looking for individuals who show initiative, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Our goal is to support your progression through the ranks — with the opportunity to develop into a Senior Driller.

Responsibilities

• 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster
• Rotating day and night shifts
• Physically demanding role working underground in small, close knit teams

You’ll receive hands on training across all aspects of raiseboring, including:

• Rod handling
• Drill rig maintenance
• Mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment to and from sites

Qualifications

• Must be based in or around Orange
• Current C Class Manual Driver’s Licence
• Current Working at Heights Certificate
• First Aid Certificate (within the last 3 years)
• Minimum 3 months’ experience in a labour-intensive role
• Ability to pass pre-employment medicals and drug & alcohol screening
• Ability and willingness to work underground
