Job summary

GB Railfreight is running a talent pool for train driver recruitment toward the start of 2027, with a comprehensive training and assessment programme led by our Training & Standards Department in Peterborough.

Applicants must be available for 15 weeks of classroom training with no annual leave, with courses planned to commence in coming months. Successful candidates will pass a TDLC railway medical ahead of training.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have passed their Train Driver Psychometric Assessment in the past 5 years.
• You must live within 45 minutes of Northampton.
• You must be over 21 with a clean UK manual car licence.

Responsibilities

• Register early interest for recruitment towards start of 2027.
• Attend comprehensive training and assessment programme.
• Pass a full TDLC railway medical ahead of training.
