Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a Portfolio Lead (Temporary Opportunity) to shape and deliver a portfolio of reforms across NSW's rail access sector. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring initiatives meet scope, time, budget and benefits, while aligning with government priorities and strengthening the NSW supply chain.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of rail industry and stakeholder environment.
• Proven senior leadership delivering large-scale rail programs.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across tech, operations, regulatory, infrastructure and commercial.
• Strong governance, financial and resource management skills.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate priorities.
• Certified in project/program management (PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, SAFe).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of a large rail reform portfolio.
• Provide strategic direction across interconnected programs.
• Build trusted relationships across Government, TfNSW, and freight rail industry.
• Lead and integrate cross-functional teams with a high-performance culture.
• Identify dependencies, manage budgets and realise benefits.
