Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a proactive SCADA Systems Engineer to join our Sydney-based team. You will translate requirements into effective SCADA designs, support interfaces and integration with related systems, and maintain configuration and documentation for successful project delivery.

The role involves collaboration with product teams, testers and commissioning crews to ensure operational readiness and alignment with Hitachi standards. A strong background in rail infrastructure is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in SCADA systems engineering within complex rail or infrastructure environments.
• Experience producing and maintaining engineering inputs and documentation.
• Ability to work with product teams, testers, and commissioning teams to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Translate product features and requirements into SCADA design outputs.
• Support SCADA interfaces and integration with related control, monitoring, and operations systems.
• Develop and maintain SCADA configuration: alarms, events, graphics, and data presentation.
• Support system integration, factory testing, site testing, commissioning and defect resolution.
• Provide technical support to project engineering, testing, commissioning and operations teams.
• Maintain SCADA design consistency and alignment with internal standards.
• Act as a technical link between the project delivery team and Hitachi SCADA product team.
