Job summary

PROTECH is seeking a highly organised Resource Coordinator for our Rail team in Australia. You will coordinate rail personnel across projects, ensure compliance, and support accurate project quotes.

The role combines workforce management with a strong emphasis on client liaison and problem-solving. The ideal candidate has experience in resource coordination within rail/construction or related sectors, excellent organisational skills, and proficiency with Excel and MS Office.

• Previous experience coordinating resources.
• Experience in rail, construction, infrastructure, mining or labour hire is valued.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capability.
• Strong numerical and commercial awareness.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day allocation of rail personnel across projects and rosters.
• Manage workforce scheduling and resourcing to meet operational requirements.
• Liaise with clients, supervisors, project managers and field staff on workforce needs.
• Monitor workforce availability, leave requests and shift coverage.
• Ensure personnel hold current competencies, inductions and compliance.
• Maintain accurate workforce records and scheduling systems.
• Assist with recruitment coordination, onboarding and mobilisation.
• Respond to short-notice staffing requests and operational changes.
• Provide resource planning support to management.
• Build and maintain relationships with employees and clients.
• Prepare and submit detailed quotes for rail and infrastructure works, including labour, hours, allowances, equipment and project costs.
• Track submitted quotes and tenders and follow up with clients.
