Job summary

Karara Mining Limited is seeking a Rail Operator Maintainer to oversee train loading, stockpile management, blending, sampling and reporting of product movements. The role includes coordinating load-outs, and assisting with track maintenance on an 8 days on/6 days off FIFO/DIDO roster from Perth or Geraldton.

Essential qualifications include ARC Infrastructure Track Accreditation (PO/POLO/POTV), track maintenance/rail ops experience, WA Driver’s Licence, and National Police Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage train loading area operations, including train movements, loading activities, and efficient supply of trains to the port
• Compile daily production data for rail operations, train loading, and stockpiling
• Ensure contractor train loading and stockpile activities are conducted efficiently and within target KPIs
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve operational plans and targets
• Assist with rail infrastructure inspections and maintenance to ensure a safe and reliable rail system
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and efficiency
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager in line with skills and competency
