Job summary

Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is delivering a major Brisbane rail project, including a 10.2km line with twin tunnels and four new underground stations. This role supports operational integration, readiness, validation and assurance across the Queensland Rail network.

The successful candidate will translate complex railway requirements into practical procedures, lead site-based testing and engage with project teams, regulators and contractors to ensure safe, reliable operations at opening.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of high‑capacity metropolitan rail operations and regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of interfaces between signalling, train control, traction power and critical infrastructure.
• Experience applying rail operations expertise to integration, readiness, testing and commissioning.
• Ability to translate technical material into clear procedures, briefings and reports.
• Proven stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Project coordination experience in a complex delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operational integration and readiness activities across project teams and agencies.
• Align priorities, milestones, contract requirements and stakeholder needs.
• Provide expert rail operations advice to inform opening plans and testing.
• Manage SRACs and OMRs and progress scenarios through endorsement and testing.
• Translate requirements into practical procedures and documentation.
• Review SEMS procedures and O&M manuals against operational scenarios.
• Develop validation scripts, plan testing and manage records.
• Oversee site‑based procedure validation and issue resolution.
• Coordinate readiness activities with customers and governance bodies.
• Facilitate technical working groups and prepare executive briefings.
