Job summary

Alstom is seeking a Maintenance Engineering Manager for the Queensland Next Generation Rollingstock contract. Based in Wulkuraka, QLD, you will lead the Engineering team to optimise performance, reliability and availability of the NGR fleet, with safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Expertise in engineering risk management, compliance and configuration control.
• Track record delivering continuous improvement, reliability enhancements and innovation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
• Experience in Rollingstock Engineering and asset lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Maintenance Engineering team.
• Define and deliver the engineering strategy, roadmap and objectives.
• Drive performance against safety, quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Manage engineering risks, design changes, and obsolescence planning.
• Improve asset reliability and lifecycle performance through CI initiatives.
• Champion innovation and engineering-led cost reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance products and operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and certification requirements.
• Coach and develop engineering capability through mentoring.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
