Job summary

HR Partners in Sydney region is seeking Service Technicians for heavy locomotive components dismantling, servicing, and rebuilding in our Rydalmere workshop. The role offers a solid casual pay rate and weekday day shifts with weekend off.

You will read diagrams, use hand and power tools, and perform heavy overhaul tasks safely, with opportunities for temp-to-perm transition and long-term hours.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on mechanical experience in assembly and overhaul.
• Experience with reading mechanical diagrams and service manuals.
• Willingness to pass background checks and pre-employment screening.
• Mechanical Trade Certificate preferred.
• Australian work rights required.

Responsibilities

• Strip down, service, and rebuild heavy locomotive components and assemblies.
• Inspect, clean, overhaul, and test parts for bench performance.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and follow workshop procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe workspace and adhere to safety protocols.
