Job summary

Hyundai Rotem Company in Australia seeks an experienced Production Control Manager (Fit-out) to lead the electrical fit-out of rolling stock interior. You will coordinate between production teams, engineering and project stakeholders, developing detailed plans and ensuring safe, timely execution of all electrical tasks.

Key requirements include 5+ years in rolling stock, strong PM skills, and SAP ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

• A qualification in Engineering, Project Management or similar.
• Minimum 5 years' rolling stock industry experience
• Strong knowledge of project management principles.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical or electrical drawings.
• Excellent communication skills, including negotiation and stakeholder influence.
• Strong understanding of on-site production control processes.
• Ability to prioritise, multitask and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Understanding of HSE, Rail Safety and quality management principles.
• Customer-focused, team-oriented and accountable.
• A full driver's licence and willingness to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the full production process for rolling stock interior fit-out.
• Coordinate between production teams, engineering, quality, logistics and project stakeholders.
• Develop, maintain and execute production plans aligned with timelines and safety standards.
• Interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and specifications to support engineers.
• Identify faults, investigate causes and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical input on modification requirements and feedback from cross-functional teams.
• Ensure fit-out activities align with specifications and safety requirements.
• Assess risks and implement mitigation for electrical installations and production tasks.
• Inspect installations, test systems and compile technical reports.
