Job summary

John Holland is seeking a Civil Project Engineer for the Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Based at Beerburrum, you will coordinate civil and rail construction activities, ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery within budget and contract requirements.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, engage stakeholders, and maintain accurate reporting while driving progress against milestones on a major rail infrastructure program.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified engineering professional with infrastructure experience.
• Proven project engineer with site-based civil/rail construction experience.
• Strong planning, cost control, risk management and commercial delivery.
• Leading multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors to meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the safe and successful delivery of civil and rail construction works.
• Champion a strong safety culture through proactive risk management, environmental compliance, and quality assurance practices.
• Drive construction progress by coordinating site activities and ensuring milestones are met.
• Support cost control, forecasting and budget management to maximise project performance.
• Lead and manage subcontractors to achieve safety, quality, productivity and workmanship.
• Interpret complex engineering designs and specifications to facilitate delivery.
• Coordinateprocurement and tender activities, ensuring timely engagement of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure full compliance with contractual, legislative and project requirements with accurate reporting.
