Job summary

Australian Rail Track Corp. (ARTC) is looking for a Heavy Plant / Rail Plant Operator to safely operate and maintain heavy plant assets and rail-bound machinery across multiple sites. The role focuses on safety, productivity and reliability while following all procedures.

The successful candidate will travel as required and support documentation, reporting and compliant work practices within a busy, safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Class C Driver’s Licence.
• Willingness to travel across locations for rostered shifts (8 days on, 6 days off) and 9.5 hour days.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy plant and equipment in accordance with ARTC requirements.
• Undertake track maintenance and safe working duties as required.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation and reports.
• Comply with workplace, health, safety, environmental and legislative requirements.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and discrimination-free workplace.
