Job summary

Alstom is seeking an Electrical Supervisor I for the Sydney Light Rail Project. You will lead a team of electricians, overseeing daily maintenance activities and ensuring safety and high quality workmanship on state-of-the-art rolling stock and rail infrastructure.

You will manage a rotating shift roster, drive fault-finding and troubleshooting, and uphold strict safety procedures while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with project teams on site in Sydney, Australia.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of electricians.
• Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent.
• NSW Electrical Contractor Licence.
• Experience in industrial/rolling stock environments.
• Ability to work effectively in a rotating shift roster.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of electricians.
• Plan and oversee daily electrical maintenance activities.
• Complete maintenance activities in accordance with safety and quality procedures.
• Lead electrical fault-finding, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ensure work is completed efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the team.
• Support training, mentoring and development of team members.
• Ensure compliance with electrical and workplace safety requirements.
