Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Control Center & Maintenance Engineer in Perth, Western Australia. The role focuses on data analytics, data automation, and supporting railway signaling and maintenance analysis in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will work with data models, dashboards, and analytical tools to support operational decisions while ensuring HSE compliance and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science or related field.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Experience with Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python or similar tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify valuable data sources and assist in automating data collection.
• Pre-process structured and unstructured data from systems.
• Analyze large data volumes to identify trends and improvements.
• Support analysis of railway signalling, onboard and maintenance logs.
• Develop dashboards and analytical tools for decision making.
• Present findings using visualization and reporting tools.
• Contribute to predictive maintenance and performance monitoring.
