Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Wayside & Onboard Engineer to join our Perth team. The role supports maintenance, diagnostics, and reporting within rail signalling systems, offering exposure to real-world engineering in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics engineering, strong analytical skills, and are willing to participate in on-call and site-based activities in Western Australia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, system monitoring, and technical support.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and technical specialists.
• Work on-site in Perth, with potential on-call and site attendance as needed.
• Be proactive, eager to learn, and capable of independent and collaborative work.
• Record and communicate technical findings to stakeholders.
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and procedures.
• Support internal and client reporting requirements.
• Participate in team meetings, workshops, and continuous improvement initiatives.
