Job summary

UGL Transport is seeking a Contracts Manager for upcoming Rail Systems projects across Queensland and New South Wales. You will lead contractual performance, ensure compliance with contract terms, and drive commercial value while managing risk and cost.

The role focuses on procurement planning, subcontractor negotiations, and effective contract change management within a broad stakeholder network. Experience in lump sum D&C contracts, strong negotiation and legal-awareness, and tertiary

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Proven ability to interpret and apply contracts.
• Strong cost management and contract law awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead scope of works planning to minimise gaps and maximise value.
• Prepare procurement strategies and identify subcontractors.
• Negotiate terms, conditions and pricing of subcontracts and supplier agreements.
• Provide commercial support during contract negotiations and approvals.
• Manage contract changes and ensure timely payments and valuations.
• Forecast costs for allocated subcontracts and escalate issues as needed.
• Advise project teams on upstream contractual rights and obligations.
