Job summary

UGL Pty Limited in Australia is seeking an Asset Management Systems Engineer to oversee the lifecycle management of physical assets used in project delivery and TLS.

The role coordinates asset configuration across engineering stages—design, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and QA—to optimise asset performance and provide insights to support the Engineering Manager's strategic decisions for reliability and long-term value.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering or equivalent.
• Accreditation as a Chartered Professional Engineer (desirable).
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the rail or construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Engineering Manager with compliance of the documentation required under the UGL Asset Management (AM) system.
• Review and plan works in accordance with the AM system and the Rail & Technology Systems business framework, or as guided by the Engineering Manager.
• Ensure technical aspects of the job are clear and familiarise with contractual arrangements with clients/internal stakeholders.
• Maintain oversight of the Asset Performance portfolio from a project delivery/pipeline viewpoint.
• Provide a focal point for queries from subcontractors/suppliers supporting the Project Team.
• Liaise with clients on engineering and design items to ensure scopes are defined and understood.
• Coordinate with stakeholders regarding schedule issues and activity status.
• Assist in preparing Inspection and Test Plans and job-specific procedures for project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with client quality requirements and company procedures.
• Assist with procurement of goods and services.

Education

Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering or equivalent
