South Eastern Sydney Local Health District invites applications for a Radiographer Level 2 on a temporary full-time basis. The role involves performing imaging procedures, ensuring quality archiving of diagnostic images, and delivering high standard patient care within a 24/7 rotating roster.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent.
• Hold a NSW EPA Radiation Licence to operate radiation apparatus and registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated ability and experience to perform radiographic examinations in a wide range of modality areas including general, theatre, mobiles.
• Willingness to participate in a rotating 24/7 roster and on call as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with experience or knowledge in health-related computer applications.
• Ability to work with a team and independently with the ability to organise workload to facilitate high patient throughput.
• Knowledge of WHS and radiation protection practices.
• Proven ability to work accurately and pay attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical imaging procedures and ensure production and accurate archiving of diagnostic images.
• Ensure patient safety and provide high-quality patient care.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team on a 24/7 rotating roster with strong communication.
• Maintain competency in all clinical tasks and engage in ongoing professional development.

Education

Degree in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent

NSW EPA Radiation Licence to operate radiation apparatus and registration as Medical Radiation Practitioner with AHPRA

Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
