Job summary

GenesisCare in Newcastle (Lake Macquarie Private Hospital) is seeking a Casual Radiation Therapist to join a supportive, patient‑focused team. You will deliver safe, high‑quality radiation therapy and support patients through their treatment journey, with flexible casual hours and a Monday–Friday schedule.

You will work with an experienced team to plan and deliver treatments, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to multidisciplinary care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy.
• Current registration as a Radiation Therapist with AHPRA.
• Current Australian Radiation Use Licence (state requirements apply).

Responsibilities

• Undertake radiation therapy planning and treatment responsibilities.
• Promote and contribute to an effective multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure correct administration of radiation therapy processes and procedures.
• Complete administration and documentation in a timely, professional manner.

More specifically, you will:

• Personally undertake radiation therapy planning and treatment responsibilities and associated duties.
• Promote and contribute to an effective multidisciplinary team at the relevant Centre and across the practice.
• Responsible for the correct administration of all radiation therapy processes and procedures.
• Ensure that all administration and documentation requirements are initiated and completed in a professional and timely manner.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Demonstrated technical competence in all areas of radiotherapy at an appropriate level (treatment, simulation and planning), including comprehensive knowledge of contemporary radiotherapy modalities and techniques.
• Ability to demonstrate the ability to work in an effective team environment.
• Strong empathy, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of radiotherapy and associated allied healthcare services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy.
• Current registration as a Radiation Therapist with AHPRA.
• Current Australian Radiation Use Licence (state-specific requirements apply).
