BHP Carrapateena mine in South Australia seeks a Superintendent Radiation to lead radiation management, improve site plans and mentor a team of radiation specialists. You will drive exposure reduction initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and advise on health and safety matters related to radiation sources at the Carrapateena site.

The role offers a 5/2 4/3 Monday to Friday roster with flexible arrangements.

Formación

• Experience leading change in radiation safety initiatives or projects within mining or related industries.
• Knowledge of radiation safety regulations (EPA, ARPSANA, ICRP, IAEA).
• Ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders across levels.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership, coaching and strategic decision making on radiation management.
• Identify, assess and verify radiation controls within the operation.
• Report Carrapateena radiation exposure and ensure data quality.
• Develop exposure control strategies to reduce exposure.
• Deliver radiation improvement projects to meet requirements.
• Engage senior leaders to progress radiation management plans.
• Communicate the radiation monitoring program as per the plan.
• Manage unexpected exposure events and advise on corrective actions.
• Support radiation exposure training and awareness packages.
• Execute the on-site radiation capability program.
• Lead a team of Radiation specialists.
