Job summary
Calvary is seeking a Radiation Oncology Nurse Practitioner to deliver advanced, evidence-based care within an autonomous and collaborative model. The role covers assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, referral, and treatment planning for patients undergoing radiation therapy and related cancer care.
The successful candidate will have NP endorsement eligibility, extensive oncology experience, and leadership within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to education, service development, and research
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse authorised by AHPRA to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (or equivalent NMBA pathway).
- Extensive oncology nursing experience across varied settings with advanced nursing skills.
- Ability to apply culturally appropriate case management in patient care.
- Experience generating/using research and outcomes measures.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team as a leader.
- Ability to meet key function areas in the position profile.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced, evidence-based nursing care within an autonomous and collaborative model of practice.
- Perform advanced assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, referral, and treatment planning.
- Provide clinical leadership, education, service development, and quality improvement activities.
- Engage in research activities to optimise outcomes for patients receiving radiation therapy and related cancer care.
