CSL Behring is seeking an Associate Director, R&D Lab Platform – Bioinformatics to drive the development and evolution of digital capabilities across research and product development laboratories. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences or a related discipline. A PhD or equivalent advanced professional expertise is desirable but not essential.
• Typically 10+ years of relevant experience across bioinformatics, scientific informatics, research data platforms, digital R&D or scientific technology.
• Experience within research, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences or similarly complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of bioinformatics and computational research workflows and the technologies used to analyse and interpret complex datasets.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the R&D Lab Platform strategy and roadmap, with focus on bioinformatics, computational capabilities and scientific data.
• Partner with scientists, bioinformaticians and labs to translate scientific needs into scalable solutions.
• Support development, integration, adoption and lifecycle management of platforms for managing and interpreting complex research data.
• Enable connectivity between laboratory instruments, platforms, data repositories and analytical environments.
• Support automation and standardisation of scientific data flows, improving accessibility, quality and traceability.
