Job summary

Adbri Quarries in Fernvale, QLD, seeks a hands-on quarry supervisor to lead daily operations, uphold safety, drive production efficiency and ensure quality output.

Reporting to the Quarry Manager, you will mentor a team, monitor plant performance, support maintenance planning, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This role requires strong communication, organisational skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising quarrying, mining, or heavy industry teams.
• Demonstrated safety leadership and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team and make sound decisions under pressure.

The role

Reporting to the Quarry Manager, you will play a key leadership role in daily quarry operations, ensuring safety, production efficiency, and high-quality output. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong operational experience and a passion for leading people in a dynamic quarry environment.

This role is located in Fernvale, QLD.

Responsibilities

• Manage safety across site, ensuring compliance with legislation and Adbri safety standards.
• Monitor plant performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support maintenance planning and ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently.
• Foster a positive team culture built on communication, accountability, and respect.

What You Will Need To Succeed

• Previous supervisory or leading-hand experience in quarrying, mining, or heavy industry
• Commitment to safety leadership and continuous improvement
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Certificate 4 in Surface Operations Management
• Diploma in Surface Operations Management is desirable but not essential.
• RSHQ SSE Notice desirable but not essential.
